Do you teach groups?
Yes, generally up to 5 students per group (although larger groups may be arranged).
What is the lesson format?
Your personalised Spanish lessons will depend on your level and goals, but generally each lesson will cover most or all of the following: written, verbal, listening and reading exercises. Lessons could be based on handouts and written work or could equally have an interactive multimedia format.
What do I need to bring to each lesson?
A notepad, pen and if possible a good Spanish/English dictionary (and of course enthusiasm to learn).
What are your prices?
The basic price of lessons is £40 per hour but any travelling time/expenses to teach at your home or office will be charged extra. If you wish to take the Spanish lessons with another person, the fee would be £60 per hour per couple. Prices for groups will be quoted at the time of booking.
Can I cancel or reschedule my lesson?
Yes, up to 48 hours before your lesson, there is no charge. If you wish to cancel or reschedule a lesson within 48 hours of the lesson time, 50% of the lesson fee is chargeable. The full fee is payable for canceling or rescheduling within 24 hours of the lesson.
Where do you teach?
Our lessons are flexible and given at a time and place to suit you. Our teachers live in Essex & Kent and run lessons from home. We can also teach at your home or office for just a small extra fee.
We can travel to Southend-on-Sea, Brentwood, Billericay, Chelmsford, Epping, Rochford, Shenfield, Basildon, Wickford, Benfleet, Rayleigh, Grays, Rochester, Canterbury, Maidstone, Ashford, Harlow, Upminster and Ilford. *And also to nearby places.
Lessons via Skype are also available for those who are:
- Working away or home most of the time
- Struggling to find enough time to attend a Spanish course
- Unable to find a local tutor that they actually like
- Simply to tired to attend Spanish lessons after work
What times are lessons available?
Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm, also weekends. All dates and times are subject to availability.
What are the lesson lengths and frequency?
Lessons are a minimum of 1 hour (recommended at weekly intervals) but can be as long or as frequent as you wish.
Which Spanish do you teach?
We teach Castillian Spanish (native of Spain) although Latin Spanish can also be covered.
How do I pay for my lessons?
You can book your lesson on an individual basis or as block sessions. Lessons are arranged at the time, length and location that suits you best.
Usually you take an initial introductory lesson which you pay for on the day.
Then, if you are happy with our teaching and decide to continue, you can proceed on that basis or book blocks of lessons at a special discounted rate*.
Cash on the day of your lesson - or by cheque if you are paying in advance for a period of six lessons or more. Direct debits/bank transfers can also be arranged.
*Any block booking of 10-plus lessons qualifies for a 10% discount.
